Growing up in Minnesota/Wisconsin, my girlfriend and I wanted to be somewhere warm for the winter. We rented a home in Sun City West, Arizona for 3 months. I needed to talk to her about my faith in the Lord since I hadn’t had anyone in my life for a while that I felt comfortable discussing this with.

While there, we decided the first thing we needed to do was to find a church. As we entered the sanctuary, I looked up at the stained glass window that said “I AM”. At that moment, I knew that’s all I needed.

Back in Wisconsin, my granddaughter and her baby went to a tatoo parlor so she could get a tatoo about her baby. As I held the baby, I knew I needed a tattoo that said “I AM”. So my tattoo is designed to have those words, a cross on the background, and Trinity circles in the center. The tattoo wraps around my wrist and forms a slave bracelet; I will always belong to Him.
