Erika has two tattoo stories to share.

Story 1:
I got this tattoo after making the extremely painful and difficult decision to file for divorce in 2011. At that time, I had a cross I wore daily to remind me I wasn’t alone and I would survive that dark time. The day after I filed with the court, I decided to get that exact cross tattooed on my shoulder as a permanent reminder of God’s never-ending love and promise ‘to give me hope and a future’ no matter the circumstances.

Story 2:
When I was 21, I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma cancer. While I was waiting to undergo surgery, my parents got me a James Avery, ‘Faith, Hope and Love’ bracelet to remind me of the strength I had within me and in Jesus Christ to carry me through this terrifying diagnosis. Years later, when it broke, I chose to get this tattoo showing the Anchor for Hope, Cross for Faith and Heart for Love to honor our faithful God and as a reminder that with these things, anything is possible.
